K.A.M Majedur Rahman is a former banker and capital market professional. Beginning his career in 1981 with ANZ Grindlays Bank Limited, Rahman has worked extensively in strategic business transformation, investment, risk management, international trade, and governance in Bangladesh, Middle East, Africa and Australia. He has valuable experience in resolving trade disputes, commercial negotiation and business loss cases.

Majedur Rahman served as the Group CEO of a large conglomerate A.K. Khan & Company Limited, Managing Director of Dhaka Stock Exchange Limited, Managing Director & CEO of Premier Bank Limited, Country Head of Bank Alfalah Limited, Chief Risk Officer of AB Bank Limited and Deputy Managing Director of IPDC Finance in Bangladesh. Currently, he is engaged as the CEO of Bangladesh International Arbitration Centre (BIAC).

Majedur Rahman is concurrently serving as the Chairman of Maldives Islamic Bank, Maldives since October 2022. He has also served as an Independent Director on the Board of Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC from October 2019 to October 2024 with engagement as Chairman of the Board’s Audit Committee and member of the Risk Management Committee. He is also engaged as a member of the Task Force at Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission.
